BGE TECHNOLOGY GmbH Visits Konrad Shaft 2 Construction Site

On September 16, 2024, BGE TECHNOLOGY GmbH visited the construction site at Konrad Shaft 2. The tour provided a detailed look at several key areas under construction. The foundation for the future ventilation building, the reloading hall, and the ongoing excavation of the shaft base, which will serve as the transfer station for waste containers.
This visit offered valuable insights into the progress being made by our parent company, Bundesgesellschaft für Endlagerung (BGE), at Germany’s first repository for low-- and intermediate--level radioactive waste licensed under nuclear law. We extend our gratitude to BGE for organizing this informative visit, and to Ed. ZÜBLIN AG, the contractor responsible for building the reloading hall.
The day concluded with a team-building barbecue, where colleagues contributed homemade salads and appetizers —an excellent way to foster camaraderie and celebrate the project’s ongoing progress.
